Ocean Beauty is honored to team up once again with the Boise Rescue Mission to help feed those in need, with another donation of 1,000 lbs. of tilapia. In 2015 alone the Mission provided over 350,000 meals to those in need.

The Boise Rescue Mission, founded in 1958, provides comprehensive and caring support for those suffering from temporary or extended difficulties with food security, safe housing, and other services. They offer emergency shelter to anyone in need at four Boise-area locations. At three of these locations their New Life Program extends drug and alcohol treatment to those enslaved by addiction. Since 2010, in conjunction with Boise Veterans Affairs, the Mission has served homeless vets across Ada and Canyon Counties with a range of programs specifically tailored to the needs of veterans.

In recognition that homeless women and children face trials and concerns that men do not, serving women and children is a particular focus of the Boise Rescue Mission. Through overnight shelter, work-search assistance, GED completion, counseling, and addiction recovery, the Mission has helped hundreds of women in our community find faith, hope and family in a safe, nurturing environment. Children’s programs provided include: Homework club, summer children’s program, after-school activities, and a college road trip. The stated policy of the Mission is to never turn anyone away for lack of space.
