Seafood Processors

Seasonal positions from mid-May to the first week of September. Hourly pay plus time and one half for anything over 8 hours a day and 40 regular hours a week. May do the following in an on-shore processing facility: clean and pack fish; offload fish from boats; clean and pack fish eggs; work on can line and various aspects of canned production. Must be able to work long hours and stand for extended periods of time in a wet, cold environment. Raingear and rubber boots are provided. Point of hire is Cordova, AK – transportation is not provided. Room and Board is $15 per day by payroll deduction and reimbursed upon successful completion of the season as determined by management. There is a Canning Completion bonus for staying through the end of the season. Wages start at $7.15 per hour.

Cannery and Fish House Machine Operators

Seasonal position from July to first week of September. Hourly pay plus time and one half for anything over 8 hours a day and 40 regular hours a week. May be required to work 7 days a week and work shifts may be 16 hours per day, 7 days per week during canning. Need to have experience in the operation of iron butchering machine or filler machine. Wage DOE.

Cannery Quality Assurance Technician

Seasonal position from July to first week of September. Hourly pay plus time and one half for anything over 8 hours a day and 40 regular hours a week. May be required to work 7 days a week and work shifts may be 16 hours per day, 7 days per week during canning. Need to have experience in quality assurance for a canning operation, including incoming product inspection, on-line monitoring and inspection of final product. Must be familiar with HACCP, SOP and SSOPs. Thermal processing experience is required. Wage DOE.
