Built in 1911, Ocean Beauty operates the oldest and largestseafood production facility in Kodiak. Ocean Beauty/Kodiak is a major producer of fresh, frozen and canned salmon, as well as halibut, perch, cod, pollock, flatfish and herring. Production is year round with the facility employing nearly 300 during peak production.

Alaska's second largest fishing port, Kodiak (on Kodiak Island) is at the crossroads of some of the most productive fishing grounds in the world. Year-round population is about 7,000. Favorite activities include fishing, hiking, skiing, sightseeing, and bear watching.
