Cordova, Alaska

Located on the waterfront in Orca Inlet, Ocean Beauty's Cordova Production Facility operates from February to September, creating numerous employment opportunities. Ocean Beauty/Cordova is one of the largest producers and shippers of Copper River King and Sockeye salmon, which run mid May through June. It also is a major processor of Pink, Chum and Coho salmon, as well as halibut, black cod, Pacific cod and herring.

Surrounded by glacier-carved mountains, Cordova is a small coastal town on stunning Prince William Sound. The town of 2,000 is remote but not isolated. Cordova enjoys daily jet service from Anchorage, Juneau and Seattle, and year-round ferry service via the Alaska Marine Highway. Local services include a dozen restaurants and several shopping areas.
